Highway Lot Cleanup
The first week in December 2007,
President Lonnie Whitten organized a group of volunteers
to clean up a small lot on Highway 281 just south of the
railroad tracks by cutting down dead trees and cutting
them up for firewood to be given to individuals needing
these to heat their homes.
The vacant and dilapidated house
was removed and the ground smoothed over. The site is much improved, cleaner and safer.
Our thanks goes out to these great volunteers who
continue to give their time.
